Stranger

I don’t know at what point that I came to see
That you have become a stranger to me
Your mind is corrupt, your heart is devoid
And every good thing in your life you’ve destroyed
For every bad decision you’ve chosen to make
For every wrong move and each big mistake
You look around you to apportion the blame
You show no remorse, no sorrow, no shame
Responsibility you’re unwilling to shoulder
Your actions becoming increasingly bolder
You’re unrecognisable to me anymore
What happened to that kid I adored?
The brother I knew was a bright loving boy
Who to my life brought laughter and joy
I miss him and pray that I see him again
Free from this anger and free from the pain
Of watching the boy I loved like my son
Destroy every good thing in pursuit of his fun
